Civil Stalking Protection Order Mediation Pilot Project

In June 2017, the Supreme Court of Ohio launched a pilot project in response to a joint request from the Advisory Committee on Domestic Violence and Commission on Dispute Resolution to study whether mediation could be successfully used in certain civil stalking protection order cases not involving family or household members. Twelve common pleas courts representing urban and rural communities across the state were selected to participate in the pilot project. Results of the pilot project will be analyzed to determine the long-term viability of mediation in certain civil stalking protection order cases.
