Commission on Professionalism Member to be Recognized

Marvin L. Karp, Esq.Cleveland attorney Marvin L. Karp will receive a national professional responsibility award this week at a National Conference on Professional Responsibility luncheon in his honor in Seattle. He serves on the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Professionalism.

The American Bar Association Michael Franck Professional Responsibility Award recognizes individuals whose career commitments in legal ethics, disciplinary enforcement, and lawyer professionalism demonstrate the best accomplishments of lawyers. He will become the second Ohio recipient of the award after Charles Kettlewell, who was recognized in 2003.

As a partner at Ulmer & Berne, Karp has more than 50 years of experience as a practicing attorney.

The commission promotes professionalism among attorneys admitted to practice law in Ohio, devoting its attention to the law as a profession and to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and honor among members of the profession.
