Governor Appoints Corrigall Jones to Summit County Common Pleas Court
Fairlawn resident Amy Corrigall Jones will join the Summit County Common Pleas Court bench on Jan. 20 after her appointment today by Gov. John R. Kasich.
Corrigall Jones will serve out the remainder of the term of former Judge Patricia Cosgrove, who retired on Aug. 31. Jones must run in the November general election to serve a full six-year term that begins Jan. 12, 2013.
Since 2006, she has served as managing partner at Corrigall & Jones, Attorneys at Law. Her professional experience has specialized in civil litigation, as well as defense and plaintiff’s litigation.
She’s a member of the Akron Bar Association where she serves on the Municipal Courts and New Lawyers committees, and is a member of the Civil Litigation and Ethics committees for the Portage County Bar Association. Corrigall Jones is also an active member of the Public Defender Commission.
Corrigall Jones received her bachelor’s degree from Kent State University and her law degree from the University of Akron School of Law.
