Supreme Court Suspends Cleveland Attorney

On Certified Report by the Board of Commissioners on Grievances and Discipline, No. 08-004. Dwight E. Davis, Attorney Registration No. 0029972, is indefinitely suspended from the practice of law in Ohio.

(March 18, 2009) The Supreme Court of Ohio today indefinitely suspended the law license of Cleveland attorney Dwight E. Davis for multiple violations of state attorney discipline rules arising from his neglect of legal matters entrusted to him by several different clients.
In a 7-0 per curiam decision, the Court found that Davis failed to carry out contracts of employment; failed to refund unearned fee advances and to return case files to which his clients were entitled; and failed to provide requested information or otherwise cooperate with disciplinary authorities investigating the client grievances filed against him.
