| This notification service is provided as a public courtesy. Generally, notification that something has been filed in a case will be sent as soon as the item is docketed. In most instances, the date an item is docketed is also the date that the item was filed. However, this is not always true. Sometimes items that are filed with the Clerk late in the day cannot be docketed until the Court’s next business day. If you have a case pending before the Court and need to calculate the due date for responding to a filing, always check the date the item was actually filed (not docketed). Do not rely upon an RSS or email notification date to calculate upcoming filing deadlines. It is the party’s responsibility to keep track of the party’s filing deadlines. Failure to receive an RSS or email notice does not relieve the party of this responsibility. |
